I was a dumb little kid. I had so many awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures, and once I hit that awkward stage where I felt like I wanted money more than my "old toys," I sold anything I could get my hands on at garage sales. One in particular I remember fondly. It was at my sister's house, and I remember selling the majority of my toys there. I made sixty bucks. To a preteen, that's a fortune, but now I would gladly pay triple that to have everything back. Anyway, here are some of the toys I miss the most.

Sergeant Bananas
This is the holy grail for me. Not only do I remember SB greatly, but I remember him being one of my favorite action figures. I have no idea why I would have wanted to get rid of him. Thinking about how I probably only got a couple dollars at most for him makes me want to cry. Just look at him! I always wished they would have used him on the cartoon.

The Sewer Sub
My old neighbor Suzi if you're reading this you owe me a Sewer Sub! I had just gotten this toy when I took it over to my neighbor's house to play with it in her little plastic pool. Somehow I forgot about it and it stayed there for eternity. I don't know why I never just asked for it back. God I was a dumb little kid.

King Lionheart
This figure was right up there with Sgt. Bananas when I was a kid. I loved the sculpt, and how he didn't try to fit in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe. Lionheart also came with a sweet scepter, if I remember correctly. I've been tempted to snatch one on ebay, but people always seem to think he's worth $30 still in the package. One day we'll be reunited, one day.

The Turtle Communicator
I was never that into the roleplay type toys when I was young, but a Batman costume and the Turtle Communicator were the exceptions. I love the Turtle Com. because it was exactly what the turtles used on the cartoon, except for some reason on this you had to use morse code. Like any kids know what morse code is. I don't really remember the little character cards that are in the picture, but I'm sure I had them. Well, until I sold them.

Monty Moose
Along with Sgt. Bananas and King Lionheart, Monty moose completes the holy trinity of TMNT figures I wish I still had. I remember Monty came with this weird little rubber animal; one of those accessories that was all made from plastic the same color. I think it was some sort of rodent, but I'm too lazy to look it up right now, plus it would only depress me further.

The Turtle Copter
This really steams my potatoes. I resisted selling this one, and had it in my basement forever, but somehow it's still missing. This was always one of my favorites because of the trigger on the tail that, when pressed, would make the boxing gloves punch. I can see the commercial now, with little kids punching Bebop and Rocksteady off of a stack of cardboard boxes into a vat of ooze, or something equally 90s like that.

Casey Jones
I didn't sell Casey Jones either. No, he suffered a much worse fate. In the winter, I was playing with him in the snow and lost him. I waited for the snow to melt, but he was nowhere to be found. Some little woodland creature probably has him up in it's treehouse, or better yet, stole him just so it could have golf clubs and baseball bats it's size. That scenario makes it a little easier to take.

Usagi Yojimbo
Usagi Yojimbo was pretty much the determining factor in whether you were a real turtles fan or just trying to jump on the bandwagon. Sure, you could have Leo, Raph, Mikey, Don, and maybe even Splinter or Shredder, but unless you had characters like Usagi, you weren't a real TMNT nut. Also, if you had characters like that, and sold them at garage sales to get money to buy pogs, you were a dumb, dumb kid.

The Turtlemobile
I'd be interested to see how many of you had or remembered this vehicle. I can never seem to find many of them floating around online, but I loved this thing. It was so cool looking, and was a good alternative for when you got tired of using the Party Wagon in your playtime.

Anyway, those are some of the toys I remember getting rid of that I would love to have back. Later this month (since it's TMNT Month) I'll be posting similar articles, but about TMNT toys that I still have or have bought back. Head over to the blog and tell me some of your favorite TMNT toys!
